So I have a couple of PSTVs that were collecting dust, but after sharpscale was released I've been updating and using both. Right now I also have a PSP Go with component output cables hooked up to a Retrotink component to scart hooked to my TV. (essentially for Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, with PS1 games a nice bonus). It occurred to me that I could accomplish the same thing in a more accessible package by hooking up the PSTV to my scart switcher and with sharpscale, I could get native resolution.
Should I get an HDMI to component cable, hook that into the retrotink and then that up to my scart switcher? Has anyone done anything like that before? How much lag do y'all think I would be looking at?

Re: PSTV on PVM?
PS Vita's native resolution is 544p. So you can make that 540p on a Vita TV if you increase the screen size to max and overscan those 4 pixels. Which means in sharptscale 1080i is a perfect 2x scale. On the verical axis you could say it's a 1x scale that bobs up and down. I heard they're working on an actual 540p output which would be great for PC CRT users and Sony 1080i TV users.
But anyway, most PVM's are not capable of 1080i/540p, unless you happen to have one of the multiformat models like the 20L5
