Ok, the true sad thing is that all old scores are lost...Need to open an ST at this point

Rastan78 - 4.784.100 Stage 4, Miyamoto, 67/108 Items

Getting close to that second extend. It's at 5 million, right?

I'm not sure. But as much as I love this game, this is the absolute most inconsistent game for scoring, for me. I'm horrible at getting sets.

There seems to be a way to get an enormous scoring boost from the large group of treasure chests at the beginning of stage four.

Secret items come out of every chest giving a player with a high multiplier millions of points in a matter of seconds.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to work it. The usual empty bomb meter or have four bombs tricks don't seem to do it. It's gotta be some weird kind of secret.

Anybody gotten this to work?

just wanted to let you know that edits don´t count in the auto-remind system, so I didn´t notice your score until now.

I think you have to have 12 completed sets by the time you get there. Then super-shot em. You get over 20 million points from those.

I'm lucky if I have 4 sets by then ;)

Oh, you just need to super-shot (any level) the chests, they will release the remaining items in the uncompleted series. In case you've completed all normal series, you will get the items lacking from the secret series, hence the huge score boosts.Same discourse for the treasure chests before the water dragons ( a bit before cypider).

Aah, it all makes sense now. Thanks for clearing that up.

Now all I have to do is complete all normal sets by the end of level 3. Piece of cake right?

Damn you Rastan!

I tried last night to top your score but couldn't make it into the 5 million range. Even got a x6 multiplier but died on the Cypider.

Damn ... so close. Had several almost full sets but couldn't close them out. Died several very stupid deaths too.

Sorry, I don't :(

Image

For the record, I was able to complete shields, rings, armour, helmets, chains , food and sandals, maybe by stage 5.

I got 1M and the Slayer Sword (IIRC) by killing the turrets before the boss gauntlet in stage 6 with a level 8 charge shot.

Oh I'm not doubting you at all. I just wanna watch. I've never been able to do squat with that character and I'd love to watch a replay.

just wanted to announce this thread will be updated again, too. Apparently the recent technical issues caused "watch this topic" markers to disappear, that´s why I didn´t notice new entries.

That was my highscore from this week: Edge - 3'105'780 - Karte - Stage 5 - 66 Items

My score was done with Karte (the chick ... however you spell it) - not Miyamoto.

Landshark - 9,176,120 - 5 - Karte

I'm bouncing between Karte and Grimlen. I'm able to "pick out" items much better with Grimlen, but the game's rank is higher. Karte seems to be a crap-shoot of luck.

Getting better at getting the special items - but can't keep enough bombs through the level 3 boss to get the chest-monster items to break the 10-million barrier.

Another score from the gsgc07:

Edge - 3'917'270 - Stage 5 - Karte - 72 Items

I still find the item system of this game too chaotic. But still the game is a lot of fun, so I might return to it again one day.
