Disconnecting JAMMA cable without pain
Is there a good technique for disconnecting a board from a JAMMA cable? I tend to pull one side back and then the other but recently that broke the plastic on the edge of the shell of my JAMMA cable. I super glued it back in there but it pops out whenever I disconnect.

I also would like to know this. Yes, ideally it would be straight out, but you always have to wiggle at least a little bit, and you can never really get a good grip on anything unless you maybe hold the connector with your feet or something. Someone ought to make a tool...

That's what I'm thinking too. And really the same goes for connecting, not just disconnecting.
Has anyone tried cleaning the cable with Deoxit? I wonder if that helps it slide on and off.

I was just about to say spray it with Deoxit red and it will slide off with ease for months.
A can of that stuff is super handy for pots too, we use to brings old crackly music desks back to life.
It makes the sliders feel like new and the XLR plugs insert and remove easily.
