Hi. I have a Sony BVM-D20F1E. It works fine.
However it self-resets after some time (maybe 15 hours of operation) to the default values clearing all user configurations including per channel settings, presets, screen adjustments etc. Also the no. of hours go back to 0000000H.
Is it a software bug? It currently has ver 1.21.
Or is there anything else I need to do or look at? Could it be where the user settings are saved?
I read somewhere that there is a lithium battery (BAT1) in BC board that supplies power to some ICs for storing settings etc. Would replacing that battery help?
Hope it wont make it worse.
Thanks

Re: Sony BVM-D20F1E losing user settings
Does anyone know which Lithium battery is used in the BC board i.e. Sony CRXXXX.
The original battery part no. 1-550-104-11 is out of stock and no ones selling. I am sure it has a easily avaialble equivalent CRXXXX. Just dont know which one.
Thanks

When I check the service manual, your part number just refers to the battery holder. The actual battery is listed below (here CR2025 for a BVM-D14). Check again, should be as easy on yours.

Fudoh, yes you are right. The part is the battery holder.
Will try with CR2025 replacement battery and update.
Thanks

Re: Sony BVM-D20F1E losing user settings
So I took out the main BC board and to my suprise there was no battery in the battery holder.
I fit in CR2032 which I read somewhere is "BAT1" size which the manual states as well. It's 0.7mm thicker than CR2025 but same diameter.
Fudoh, thanks for your input and yeah would makes sense for CR2025 in D14.
Now to see if the user configuration/picture adjustment data stays put!!

I think it's a CR2025 from the factory, but I put in a CR2032 and didn't have any issues.
