Worst Arcade Shooters Question

Post by Jac2Mac »

Hi guys!

Would anyone care to tell me the worst shooters released in arcades from 1986-2005 and why they stink because I want to know which shooters to avoid in arcade because they are poorly made.

Thanks guys!

I doubt you'll actually come across any of these. Besides, after playing one credit, you ought to be able to decide for yourself whether you like them or not...

Aero Fighters 1 and Vapor Trail come to mind for me... Both have dull graphics and annoying control issues.

Varia Metal is actually decent until you reach the impossible last boss. However, I agree w/ all the others from the first info post, as well as seconding the Ghost Pilots vote. Man, that game sucked.

Aero Fighters 1 is a huge pile of crap,..............or is it?

Skull Fang is one to keep away from. It strikes out in both the graphics and game play departments.

I think I'm probably the only one who sees anything good whatsoever in this game, heh heh. Indeed, the graphics are god-awful, but I must admit, the "throttle" mechanic strikes my interest (and you can just turn it to "auto" if you'd prefer not to deal with it, though doing so pretty much eliminates the only thing to set the game apart from everything else, heh heh). I don't 100 percent understand everything about how the game works (gotta put some more time into it), but I honestly think that, if nothing else, it has a decent concept behind it, since, unlike in other shmups, where all you have to do is survive in order to face a boss, here you actually have to chase the bugger down, and I think it's kind of neat. Not Top 25 material by a long shot, but I wouldn't call it total garbage either. But again, I'm pretty much alone on that.

If anyone says Arrow Flash was boring I'll kill 'em.
The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.
