Prices of Dangun Feveron PCB...

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

The usual going rate of Cave's Dangun Feveron or the Fever SOS versions are about $300.00 to $350.00. Of course, if it's a complete PCB kit (meaning original Cave factory cardboard box & original arcade promotional supplemental paperworks), then the price will be naturally higher as arcade PCB collector's desire for such complete kits.

It is next to impossible to find such complete Cave PCB kits of Donpachi, Dodonpachi or Guwange today. One would have had to bought them when they first were sold to arcade distributors in Japan & the USA (this only applies to the original Donpachi PCB only).

One can dream of finding such complete Cave PCB treasures -- hence the relentless pursuit of that dream... ^_~

The only reason they're this high now, is dumb collectors happy to drop $$$$$$$$ on a commodity item. The older Cave games used to be between $90 and $120 from any HK seller. That was before a bunch of idiots (Japhei one of them) managed to bid up everything with a Cave logo on it.

They are not that high, and have not been in recent years. Highest price I saw for one in Japan was 21,000 yen, but it came with a lot of original artwork. I bought a board only from Excellent.com not long ago at all for $120 USD.

Oh, I see. Thank you guys.
I was really surpriced to see people asking for around $300 in trades for a bare Cave's Dangun Feveron or the Fever SOS PCBs. :o
I was thinking, "What? Price for Dangun Feveron had gone up so much?!?!"
So I made this topic to confirm the price before I try ask somebody to trade me a ESPgaluda...

Well, not everybody is in touch w/ prices. It's worth much less than an ESPGaluda board, which might fetch $300, $350 if you're lucky. I don't really play mine as I have the PS2 version, so I might sell it off here soon. With that in mind, note that ESPGaluda boards are much easier to find than Dangun, but of course, you have the whole emulation thing as well.

What?! GaijinPunch, the greatest fan of ESPgaluda, choose PS2 version of ESPgaluda in favour of the actual PCB ?!?! :?:

So the PS2 version is really so good and faithful to the PCB version? :)

DDP DOJ & ESPgaluda are really the gems of the PS2 shmups liabary. Really missing Cave's game ported by Arike...

Hm! I think I'll check out SOS- maybe it has the wait state emulation that Feveron lacks?

EDIT: Nope!

Feveron board is pretty rare now-a-days. Hong Kong distributors only have the engrish SOS version at around $120. YAJ had a few feveron's with artwork in the 20,000Y-24,000Y range (thats about $250USD after intermediary fees and shipping). Its clearly gone up in value mostly because of the rarity (collectors aren't selling).

My Feveron was the JPN one from Excellentcom, and I'm pretty sure they had multiple ones. Nobody else got one? Not seen them on YJ for a while now.

SAM: Yes -- the ESPGaluda port is amazing. After playing the arcade, you can really tell Arika put a lot of work into it, and that's not including the replay mode, arrange mode, and the bonus DVD.
