How to make USB Fight Stick Work on Older Consoles?

Post by jamisonia »

Is there a simple way to make a modern USB Fightstick universal for all of my older consoles? Any sort of adapter I can make or buy where the USB plugs into this, then it plugs into the console?

No plug and play adapter that i'm aware of. You didnt specify the target consoles, but try these options.

MC cthulhu:
No longer stocked anywhere. Might find one on ebay or fight game forums like shoryuken.com. Looks like prices are sky rocketing.

Brooks retro board:

**** sorry misread issue****
*** the info below would be for usb stick to arcade games****
*** but you could use it as a connection to pad hacks for each console without dual wiring your usb stick***

Undamned the decoders.

There's a usb to db15 one (great for supergun) and wire it yourself to usb version.

Looks like the wire it yourself version here still:

Probably some other stores.

Pretty sure undamned was a member on here too, so could always try a pm.

Usb decoder is what your after (not encoder)...

Good luck!

If the stick is USB PS3 they yes, you can get a ton of adapters for each system, you can get it to work on many systems for sure.

This stick I have is a universal stick that works with PC, PS4, PS3, Switch, 360 and Xbox One. It has a specific PS3 mode. I'm looking primarily to connecting this to a SNES, Genesis and Saturn. Dreamcast and NES would be nice as well.
