Re: Natsuki Chronicles (2019, Xbox One)
A PC port seems possible because 1. XB1 is pretty much a windows PC and 2. they've already got an english translation. Ginga Force didn't have either of these things going for it.

Re: Natsuki Chronicles (2019, Xbox One)
A few days of gameplay and this is what i've experienced.
- I'm on X1 Halo 5 Guardians Edition.
- Game crashed for its second time after all these days after buying it (i'm sure that an update might be coming any moment).
- Chronicles Mode feels like an Expansion Pack of Ginga Force.
- Extreme Difficulty was unnecessary compared with Ginga Force's three levels of difficulty.

Is anyone going to upload an English play through of Chronicle Mode on YouTube yet or what? And I need someone to do Extreme Mode...

Please... But I've only seen an English playthrough of the game on Twitch, no one is bothering to do the same on YouTube for some reason... And I'm curious as to what the ending of the game is on Extreme mode.

Re: Natsuki Chronicles (2019, Xbox One)
My thoughts on the game so far (+ for pros and - for cons):
+ Arcade Mode / Score Attack Mode doesn't have to unlocked like in Ginga Force
+ The flow of the stages and overall design feels a lot more balanced and consistent than in Ginga Force. In Ginga Force it almost felt to me like a different person designed each stage
+ I like the shot types in Arcade Mode even if they aren't as experimental as the ones in Ginga Force. The special weapon on the other hand has a lot of interesting variations though
+ The background and sceneries are a step up from Ginga Force
+ Most enemy formations are fixed but there's a healthy amount of rng to some of them just to keep you on your toes
+ I feel like it's going to take me a while to figure out how to get all enemy formations on all stages. I'm consistently missing four of them on stage 3 for example
+ While I enjoyed playing each stage individually in Score Attack Mode in Ginga Force, I can't deny that it feels really good to have a proper ~30min Arcade Mode
+ English translation
+ Not sure how to put this in better terms but the game has that "Qute feel" to it. Just like with previous Qute releases, it's just really fun imo
+ The soundtrack is great! Perhaps not as good as Ginga Force's OST imo but still very good
+ Being able to customize how you toggle your ship speed is a huge improvement over Ginga Force's speed level system
+ I really like the bullet trajectories, especially since it's sometimes hard to see certain bullets given the backgrounds
+ The EX shield system is great and I also like how they tie into the strength of your weapons
+ No more fuel for your sub weapon as in Ginga Force
- I miss the experimental nature of some of the stages in Ginga Force (like the stealthy feel of Stage 2, the mega epic battleship stage at the end of the game etc)
- Not sure if you guys get what I mean by this but the "train" or battleship stages in shmups are always my favorite stages and I feel that there isn't really a stage in this game that has that feel to it. While there is a stage that has a large train in it, it still doesn't feel like a traditional train stage to me as it's more focused around the enemies that comes flying at you as opposed to you blowing up parts of the train
- The bosses feel uninspired to me compared to Ginga Force and they have very few destructible parts
- The scoring mechanics are good but I personally preferred Ginga Force's scoring mechanics
- I haven't beaten the final stage in Chronicle Mode on Hard or Extreme yet (it'll require a bit of grinding) but I feel that the storyline on Normal was lacking. I was hoping that they would flesh out the world a bit more as it has tons of potential imo. There were some highlights in the story as you got further into it but it doesn't feel as well thought out as the one in Ginga Force. In fact, I'm not sure if the storyline really added anything to the world other than Natsuki's background and what happened to her after the events in Ginga Force
- Many people have mentioned it in here before but the game crashed once for me. If it doesn't crash again then it's no biggie imo but I think they should still patch it
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase (bought an xbone s just for this game lol) and I will keep playing this for a while

But doesn’t the game take place during the events of Ginga Force?pestro87 wrote:- I haven't beaten the final stage in Chronicle Mode on Hard or Extreme yet (it'll require a bit of grinding) but I feel that the storyline on Normal was lacking. Yes, sorry I meant after the encounter between Margarette + Alex vs Natsuki in Ginga Force.

Though to be fair, Natsuki does get a proper ending. After defeating Maroon.

I can figure that out for ya', just gimme some time 'cos is not gonna be easy.xxx1993 wrote:...And I'm curious as to what the ending of the game is on Extreme mode.
Spoiler
Judging from what i've saw on Normal ending, it will probably change the moment of the day and place where Natsuki crashlands.
EASY = Night, outside Central City. Natsuki asks herself "In the end, was what i did right? I wonder when it was that i lost all hope...".
NORMAL = Sunrise/Sunset, outside of the space elevator. Natsuki asks to herself "What will become of this planet's future? And as for me...Where do I go from here?"
HARD = Daytime, outside of a different space elevator, desert is now a forest and Natsuki thinks "Margarette... If you're still alive, maybe one day we'll meet again."
EXTREME = Daytime, outside between Central City and another space elevator. Natsuki thinks to herself "Right now, all i can think about is moving forward at full speed. Now that i've abandoned everything, what comes next?"

Hard has her crash by a space elevator in the forest. The dialogue is different too.

Re: Natsuki Chronicles (2019, Xbox One)
So all my questions have been officially answered. We can now confirm the game really is a side-story to Ginga Force.
