Megaman game with the best arsenal?

Post by FatCobra »

Which Megaman game (can be any series or spinoffs as well) do you think had the best weapons?

I like the weapons in Megaman 2, who needs the Mega buster when you've got the Metal Blades?

I'm not sure which has the best, but Megaman and Bass has a pretty lousy one. The ice wall is a difficult to use, the flamethrower has an extremely short range, the multiply item is pretty limited, and the drill launcher moves too slow.

Ugh. It's still a fun game though.

All of Zero's moves in MMX4 were Pwnage.

Megaman Zero Series for my money!
The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

You can really move around with the Mega Man X2 weapons...

Using MMX's Storm Tornado makes you unstoppable ('cept for bosses of course.)

Personally i'll always prefer the originals set over anything else but that's just because Elecman kicks so much ass.

Other than that though i'll have to agree with Triple Lei that X2 has a great assortment. The whole game itself has a great energy to it - i especially liked Overdrive Ostrich's stage...

X2 has the best, in my opinion. There's just so much you can do with all of the weapons.

MM2 had a decent arsenal as well, though. Most of the weapons were usefull in some way, even if the metal blade pretty much overshadowed everything.

Wouldn't it be neat if you could fight all the robot masters and get all of their weapons?

Speaking of Megaman, there were 6 robots in the NES game right? Megaman Powered Up has eight, who are the two new robots?

Quoted for truth. Metal blades = best MM weapon ever. Powerful, versatile and they last a long time before you have to power 'em up again. Also, MM 2's helper items were in some ways better implmented than the Rush items IMHO.

I found out that you can make the Metal Blades last infinitely. You can fire three before the game takes off a bit of the energy meter. But if you pause before firing the third shot, the game will forget your tally and let you shoot again without energy loss. Of course, it really doesn't matter because those energy capsules are easy to come by.

re: Fat Cobra: That is a sweet trick. Will need to try that next time I play.

I miss having MM 2 on my PSP. :(

I'll have you know Zero looks a lot better in the MMZ series.

 Omg, Capcom must be getting desperate for ideas if they resorted to 'chibifing' an entire megaman game.

Maybe they want to differentiate their games. MHX=serious, ZX=serious, MM=chibi.
