I seem to remember somebody producing selling a component to scart adaptor/changer on here a while back. Does anyone have any info on that? I’d quite like one now
Thanks

Re: Component to scart convertor/adaptor
I've been looking for transcoders lately and stumbled upon this eBay seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/YPbPr-to-RGB-S ... 4151197808. Haven't ordered anything from them as they don't currently have what I need, but it's reasonably priced and seems to do what you're looking for.

This one?

I haven't looked at that one yet, so I don't know how it performs. At that price, we should hold the device to a very high standard.
(Also, these transcoders are not bi-directional, so make sure you have your input and output figured out.)

We apologise for the inconvenience

Retro Tink is the one to go for, its one of few that will not dropout when the video input to it has bright flashes.

Re: Component to scart convertor/adaptor
Mike let me beta test the COMP2RGB. It's hands down the best YPbPr to RGBS transcoder I own.

Thanks guys, this was exactly what I was looking for

Got the Linuxbot3000 one which rocks (as well as the opposite which arguably beats the Kramer FC-14) , but I have the dsub out version instead of the SCART. So I can't say for certain! All these dsub ones handle RGBS as well as RGBHV

Re: Component to scart convertor/adaptor
They said it's possible to make it with SCART instead of dsub, but that the chip they're using might have compatibility issues with Genesis so they wanted to test it first. At least when I asked about converting SCART to s-video...kitty666cats wrote:Got the Linuxbot3000 one which rocks (as well as the opposite which arguably beats the Kramer FC-14) , but I have the dsub out version instead of the SCART. Re: Component to scart convertor/adaptor
My memory is fuzzy. But I'm fairly sure the Linuxbot3000 is one I tried. And I seem to recall that it has significant horizontal offset in HD resolutions.
There's a thread about it on this forum that I'm too lazy to find.
EDIT: Can't find evidence of this anywhere using forum search. But my fuzzy memory refuses to let this idea go. Can anyone confirm/deny my recollection? XBox 720p should replicate it.

I haven't noticed much shift, if any at all, in his stuff. Worst case scenario, nab a cheap Extron! Linuxbot3000's stuff is great and weirdly slept on, I'm real happy with my transcoders and JVC 5BNC card :3
