Going to see this tonight I'll tell what I think of it tomorrow.
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.

I liked the movie right up until the last parts, which got pretty shallow. Nice ending, though.

saw it last week, and i liked it a lot.

of note though, for the first time in my life, i entertained the idea of walking out on the movie outright (albeit briefly). some of it was just fucking brutal, i have no other words to describe some of the scenes within. standouts were the pyramid head skin throw, the "barbwire love scene" in the finale, along with a few others i seem to have repressed... :P

and also, i'm thinking about collecting up all the games and working my way through them. i've played them all, but have completed none. should i try and play them in order, or is their a pattern that would serve me better?

and what about releases? would i be better served with particular versions? like greatest hits SH2 for ps2 or Sh2 on xbox? same goes for "the room".
I have no sig whatsoever.

As long as you play SH1 before SH3, the order won't matter. Your SH4 experience might benefit a little bit if you play through SH2 first, but it's not all that important. I recommend just playing them in numerical order.

The only one that has special editions that make a difference is SH2. Get any version except the original PS2 version. All the others (PC, Xbox, PS2 Greatest Hits) have an extra scenario that's interesting to play through after completing the regular game.

a bit delayed but saw this last night and had a lot of fun. some great horror sections that didn't just rely on gore but were actually pretty oppresive. i loved the nurses and spotlight thing and colin was fantastic. i think that the scares peaked too soon as the last (for me) brilliantly freaky part was the whole colin sequence and the stuff that followed. as it moved onto the story redemption etc it became more melodramatic and less monster scary. but then again that;s pretty much what i expected from having played the second game.

also i picked up the silent hill collection and i'm slowely playing silent hill 2 now. now i've introduced my girlfriend to the series via the film, however, i feel that it may spend considerably more time in the playstation.
