Electroplankton DS anyone?

Post by Thunder Force »

From Toshio Iwai, of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Tokyo.

Release date April 7th 2005 for Japan. Now ready for pre-order for fans of the simulated light & sound plankton genre, and let's face it... who isn't?

That's two killer apps for DS (along with Meteos) in the space of about a month. Nice. I think I'll grab both and I know my DS won't be collecting dust after all this year, once my PSP arrives like I originally thought :)

Thanks for the heads up Thunder! :D

This looks very interesting indeed! This is number 3 on my most wanted list now (Meteos, Yoshi T&G being the others).
I say "fuck" better graphx and let's have this stuff instead! :D

I just saw the vid from the first bubble at the site, it looks and sounds very interesting, but it's unclear to me what you actually have to do in this game

It seems to be a collection of 'mini-games', maybe similar to Wario Ware. They seem to be based around music/touch, and I really like the art direction, though.

Yes, I first saw this today. Same with Nanostray. My problem? As of this time yesterday I wasn't going to get a DS. Now I am and my bank account will regret it :P

Here's the firefox friendly link.

Bill

edit: And Meteos!

New Electroplankton videos from today's Game Developer's Conference here (don't click if you want to keep the behavior of some of the plankton a surprise!)
