Converting an arcade stick from PS4 to 360 - is it possible?
Converting an arcade stick from PS4 to 360 - is it possible?
Before I spend $40 on am adapter which may not do anything, figure I'll ask here to see if this would be pointless. There is a Brook adapter for PS3 to 360 but not for PS4 to 360, however my stick has a switch where you can choose PS3, PS4, or PC. Would the adapter work if I chose the PS3 mode?

Theoretically yes, the stick is supposed to go into a true PS3 mode to work properly on that system.
You might want to search around someplace like SRK or Reddit to get actual confirmation from a user.

Never heard of Cronus Max, but if it's reliable then indeed I don't see a huge reason to look at anything else.

I've had mine for maybe 2-3 years now, and have never had a problem with it. I use mine for simple adapting, although the device has a pretty rich feature set and very robust supporting software.

The Brook adapters have pretty extensive lists of specific controllers and sticks they support on their web site. Chances are pretty good that it will work with yours when it's in PS3 mode, but I'd look over those lists just in case. The Cronus Max is like $100, so at that point you might be better off getting Brook's Universal Board and just replacing the internals of your stick so it automatically works with every console.

Yep, Brook's Universal Board works like a charm with it's built-in auto-detection of the gaming console plugged into it. Of course, the Brook Universal Board is already $94.95 to begin with making it perfect for your favorite console arcade stick mod hack. It's available here: https://arcadeshock.com/collections/fro ... ed-headersthebigcheese wrote:The Brook adapters have pretty extensive lists of specific controllers and sticks they support on their web site.
