the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..
I saw a documentary on TV once about this French tattoo artist who specializes in improvized on-the-spot designs. Pretty crazy, abstract stuff, and definitely not something I would do, but I liked his philosophy that most tatoos are meant to be rebellious and/or alternative, but actually end up being really boring and conservative because everybody just gets the same bullshit tribals, dragons, snakes, etc.

Well, I already did that.
Remember that fantastic game - Final Fantasy VI? Yes you do
There was an esper (summon) called Fenrir - here it is

esper only

Well, I decided to get a tattoo of it. Anyway, it's cool the way it is, no one ever got the reference the RARE times I show it off (I'm not a seaside guy anyway).
Tattooed from 1998 to 2001 in six different countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Canada and Italy) - this is a pic I shot in Oslo 3 years ago. Now the design is complete and a bit more complex.

At first there was just the wolf+moon but then you know what it is... you just can't have enough

I like the Mjolnir you've worked into it! Unfortunately England's PC crew tend to assume anything associated with Paganism or the Norse pantheon is inherently racist...
As for stuff I'd like to have tattooed, I'm kind of half considering having the Gradius logo done in greyscale on my back. I'm also definitely going to have something Metroidian scrawled on me at some point, too. I haven't set my heart on anything, but I want it to be evocative of Super Metroid's atmosphere, rather than some cheesy, edgy depiction of Samus.
These ideas probably sound rubbish, but hey, at least they'll be things that mean something to me.

I've thought about getting the Commodore logo (you know, the old C=) tattooed on my shoulder, but probably won't. I think it would be pretty rad though.

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.
Hmm.. this is a tough call. I never planned to have any tattoos, but one never knows. It has to be something by Konami, maybe a moai blowing ripple lasers or bubbles, or the Konami logo. I've been seriously thinking of a kanji scar tattoo though, but haven't found a suitable kanji yet for it. Most of the meaningfull ones are too complicated = pain, a lot of pain X_x
A friend of mine has the commodore-logo (C=) on the back of her neck, and a pac-man tattoo somewhere else. The tattoos are rad, she's rad.
Fenrir's tattoo might be the most massive video game -derived tattoo on the planet? Coolness.

Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.

Me neither. I would never get a tattoo, but my wife has 3 small ones which I don't mind - I'm so used to them I don't even notice them anymore.SuperGrafx wrote:No tattoos for me.
I have to say, though, that corporate logos as tattoos are a bad idea. Tattoos should express your individuality, not turn you into a billboard, or make your skin look like a nascar uniform...
SHOOT IT QUICKLY !
Illegal? Kanji tattoos? Whaat?Rob wrote:That and kanji tattoos are illegal.Shocky wrote:I've been seriously thinking of a kanji scar tattoo though, but haven't found a suitable kanji yet for it. Most of the meaningfull ones are too complicated = pain, a lot of pain X_x
I don't know about the legal status of scar tattoos, but I know a place that does them and couple of my friends have gotten good results. Anyway, the thing is, I already have a nice basis for it, a big scar that I never wanted in the first place. Now I could modify it to something that has a meaning and aesthetic values, depending on the open-mindedness of the perceiver.
And for the record: Konami logo is the thing that makes me happy, I don't care if it's corporate.

My girlfriend is tattoo crazy. She has one on her back, one on her forearm, and she's getting another one done this friday thats going to go all up her side. I'd like to get some but my skin is all sorts of fucked up. Next time I go to my dermatologist I'm going to talk tohim about it and if I can do it, I'm going to this design I did myself (which is a simplified version of this which is too complicated and has too much depth for a tattoo). As far as anime goes, I've always thought the brand from Berserk would be a cool tattoo.sffan wrote:
