Hang on, not to nitpick but.. was that the BER one or the LOU one? That score looks familiar :P

Fun meet btw! I may have to bring my Saturn RayForce disc for the next one so I can make the case for it =)

Thanks again for the 'meet, Dave! It's always good to keep up with today's shmups.

That's stage 2-2.

I only played this game once, and after, I was distracted mostly with Radilgy. :)

I think I earned this score in Space Bomber. The score I earned on Dragon Blaze was about 500,000.

Hehe, it should! I think your score was only 1,06?,??? (where the ?s represent digits that I don't remember).

Aha! Mystery solved. Which St.3 boss strategy did you end up preferring and what part of 1-4 was that to if you remember?

Let's bring UD out again at the next shmupmeet, that was a lot of fun 2p too-- see if we can't get the second loop unlocked this time (or I could bring the VMU if all else fails :P)

I could never execute my preferred strategy, which results in destroying the stage 1-3 boss before it goes to the bottom of the screen. So I tried my less preferred strategy: hope not to die. :)

My final death in that performance was about 75% of the stage 1-4 trip. I think that's where one tank is on the left side of the screen and one anti-air artillery is on the right side, and both are in front of the bridge, which is in front of the two lightning turrets.

Yeah that last part is really rough. 1-4 may be the hardest stage in the first loop just due to the level of strategy required. And then getting 100% on the thing is another story altogether! Targeting the smaller guns before taking on the lightning turrets seems to work pretty well (if you assume that getting hit by lightning is inevitable and you wait until afterwards to launch an option). The part that never fails to get me is the part in the middle of the fortress indoors, before the railed tanks, where you have a turret on either side of the screen and all the tanks come out and ambush you =)
