the Xbox 360, like its predecessor, lets developers decide whether they want their games to be region-free or with lockout. Unfortunately though, and exactly contrary to what you should expect, experience has shown that the region-free games tend to be those that get a worldwide release anyway, while those released for one region only are usually locked-out.

^^ I have always wondered why they do that. I mean it is like they don't want to make money, if they are not going to release the game wordwide why region lock it!?

Good point I never looked at it that way before wonder why they do that.

the system is not region free..what are region free are the GAmes..and here are the list of region free games that can be played on any 360..
