To me it feels like Strikers 1945 III for the most parts, + some Raiden, and this black bomber ship you showed in the vid reminds me of Garegga. Oh, and "Bombaaaaaah!" of course.

And man, THIS is one easy game.

hehe never even thought about the black bomber ship

i just cracked up when i heard the "BOMBAH!" part.. it only appears in attract mode btw.. the caracter says something else when bombing in-game..

ah well i thought it was funny anyways.

The boss in that attract can be killed in one well timed bomb. Storm Blade rocks, not really sure what that clip had to do with Cave tho. Isn't bombaahh from Giga Wing 2?

beats all the above, cool game that has a great VS play mode, i think theres a rewiev of it here on shmups ?

but yeah storm blade is a great game and can be had for very cheap so theres no real reason to overlook it

Bombaaaaah is from that first Raizing shooter, Mahou Daikusen or something like this, and one charakter says it when it, well, bombs. (Reappears in Garegga and Batrider as well). Never played GW2 but I remember replays that had this word in it too. It was way longer and MUCH more annoying, like "BuuuuuuUUUUUMBAAAAAAAAAAH!" in this high screeching japanese voices and this bomb animation that triggered epileptic fits (along with other things like "Reflekkkktah - - Fooooooosss!" which might mean "Reflector Force" or whatever).

I guess the coolest voices in shmups have to be "Destroy the core!" in Gradius V (as well as "You need practice" and that other gameover stuff) and of course Ibara. Or EEEBARRAAAAAH. Beuuumbah. Rokkkkkett. Maschiiin gan. Gatuuuling. Okay, I guess we had enough. I just love those samples.
