I have the Otaku 6-port SCART switch for my main display. I do have another setup that would have at most two consoles.
I've seen recommendations for the "Bandridge SVB7725", but they seem to be hard to get a hold of in the US.
Are there any other available recommendations, or possibly a US seller with the SVB7725 available?
Recommended small SCART switch?

Re: Recommended small SCART switch?
Unless someone has something secondhand that's ready to sell, I think the only SCART switcher you're really going to find in the US is the gscartsw. If you're looking for a 5-porter specifically, and you want automatic switching, you can try ordering a mini Hydra, but that'd be from Poland and not super cheap.
If cost is a concern, I would ditch SCART for DE-15/VGA and get a 4- or 6-port Extron VGA switcher (if you favor automatic switching) or any other VGA switcher (if you don't mind manually switching). You're going to need boutique cables either way, and VGA switchers can be had for far less than SCART (and cables and adapters for DE-15 and BNC, for your downstream equipment, are far cheaper and easier to get).

I've recently recommended the Bandridge switches as they are cheaper. Up until yesterday, the 3 port was available on Amazon, but here it is for $12: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bandridge-3-Way ... 2343916756mrkotfw wrote:I have the Otaku 6-port SCART switch for my main display. You can often find the 5 port Bandridge on EBAY frequently for ~$75. Seems out of stock now.
The only other advice I can offer is to not get caught up in the gscartsw hype.
Re: Recommended small SCART switch?
I want to recommend another Otaku 6-port. Even if you don't need four of the inputs now, you might later, and you can always daisychain the two for an eleven-input option down the road.
It seems very well made but I prefer passive and manual switching myself, which is why I prefer the Otaku switches. If I'm going to be getting up from the couch to turn a console on or off anyway...ldeveraux wrote:The only other advice I can offer is to not get caught up in the gscartsw hype.
Re: Recommended small SCART switch?
I used to have the 3-port bandridge and it produced a noticeably dimmer image. I now have the 5 port manual version and the image is perfect. One good thing with 5 port is that the inputs are at the back which means you can always stacks things on top of the unit i.e. OSSC/scaler.

Or, perhaps better, stacking multiple 5 port Bandridges on top of each other!Larrs888 wrote:I used to have the 3-port bandridge and it produced a noticeably dimmer image. I would second this suggestion even if cost is not a concern, especially if you'll be getting custom made cables regardless.nmalinoski wrote: If cost is a concern, I would ditch SCART for DE-15/VGA and get a 4- or 6-port Extron VGA switcher (if you favor automatic switching) or any other VGA switcher (if you don't mind manually switching).
