Doom / jDoom

Post by thesuperkillerxxx »

Any other fans of the original Doom? I loved to play this crap before. And not so much of the Deathmatch, I got a bigger kick out of the single player game.

Any the whole point of this topic is this. Pull out your old doom cd (or Floppies) and load up some jDoom

What a way to revitalize the game, and you don't need DOS to do it. And don't forget to find the PSX music for it too. It really puts the finishing touch on an already great game.

And if someone has the original Heretic or Hexen, zap me a PM, please.

Click me for PSX Doom Music!

I yanked this of the intarweb about a year and a half ago.... puts the PC midi music to shame.

Note the link to the track list at the top, you can match up the music to the level and you are straight jackin' shit yo!

ZDoom is much better for user-created levels (and just about ever user-created level in the past three or so years has required ZDoom), but JDoom is much better for the main game.

This looks awesome; thanks for posting it up. Apparently there's an update of Quake II out there also, which brings the graphics up to more recent standards. Hopefully I'll get to spend some quality time with both of these at some point.
