PlayStation 2 Disc Tray Replacement

Does anyone know if the PlayStation 2 Disc Tray from a SCPH-30001 system would fit/be usable in a SCPH-39001 system (as a replacement)?

Unfortunately, the tray designs changed a lot through the early PS2 revisions.
You'll just have to test it to know.

Thanks, figured as much.
Was thinking since they were both 3xxxx series might be compatible.
