Could be very good on the One X (imagine it at 4K 60fps) Voted Xbox.

Re: R-Type Final2
Seriously. Hopefully convinces Granzella not to lock themselves into a smaller market.

Re: R-Type Final2
Feels like it'd benefit from the biggest markets: Switch or PC. Wouldn't mind PS4 either, but I prefer my shmups on Switch nowadays despite the input lag.
Re: R-Type Final2
Voted PS4 because I only care about myself
Re: R-Type Final2
Huh?
I would never play any shmups on PC unless I had no other choice.
Aren't you bothered with the lag and other crap, or you just dont have any consoles?
Re: R-Type Final2
Asking me to vote using fucking twatter means I've already lost interest, tbh.

something something consoles shouldn't exist except portable onesMJR wrote:Huh?

Play for fun and win when you can.
Re: R-Type Final2
Yeah I'm in for that PC version.

I am getting just more confused.clippa wrote:Yes, it's why I voted PC.MJR wrote:Aren't you bothered with the lag and other crap
Then again, I am a relic and I must have fallen behind too much, I remember preferring using PS2 and PSX / Saturn over PC /Mame any day. And the Cave conversions on steam I saw were never very good compared x360 either.
If there is some actual information I have missed, like any threads here comparing the input lags between PC / PS4 / Switch, please drop me a link, I would like to know more.

I'm pretty sure you'd have heard of it if it did.

So is it like Kickstarter? I want to know what goals they have in store for this game.

The platforms will be PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.
Re: R-Type Final2
Isn't "about a week" an awfully short time for a crowdfunding campaign?

Re: R-Type Final2
A week? The fuck? Uh, good luck guys. I mean, I know those big famous kickstarters make their goal in 8 hours, but I don't think R-Type is on the same level of notoriety as Castlevania, Mega Man, or Fallout/Wasteland.

Re: R-Type Final2
I'll be backing it day one, but that is a very short time frame. Maybe its just to gauge interest rather than a desire to fully fund it.
Re: R-Type Final2
Maybe they'e getting cold feet and want it to fail

Im behind the times. I don't do PC gaming. Good old fashion consoles. Either Switch or PS4 for me.

Re: R-Type Final2
A week is oddly short. It will be interesting to see what plan they outline in the campaign but tbh unless they have already secured some other form of backing and this is basically just part of the marketing phase then I'm not optimistic they're going to be able to pull it off.

Re: R-Type Final2
I suppose I'm in for the hardcover art book tier. Shame there's no physical game in this campaign, but any new R-Type is better than none.

Physical copy of the soundtrack only starts at $500. Hopefully there will be other ways to get one.

Kickstarter page is live.

Turns out there are physical copies and much better options than what was seen last week in that news article. Backed for a PS4 physical edition.
