Ah well guess might aswell, contribute to this thread, forgot about it.

Well beaten, FFX hate to say it but I quite liked it. those aeon summons and bahamut were cool, loved fighting yojimbo.

Started into star ocean till the end of time, not liking it. Think I'll call it a day with this one.

FFX-2 too much feminism / ''girl power'' 2 things I dislike. Found battle system okay though. I'll probably beat it.

Pal dragon quest 8 just came out, Going to snatch it up hopefully it'll be good.

Currently 7 hours into FF7, Actually apart from the random battles and controls, I can understand now why people rated it so highly. Some pretty cool things in it. But its terrible compared to panzer dragoon saga.

Heh, I haven't kept up with the new console info much at all, so I musta missed that...in any event, I've got no plans to pick up any of the new systems for the time being, I'm more likely to snag a cheap "out-of-date" one, if anything.

Me too. I'm at about 11 hours and I can't figure out what to do or where to go. I'm stuck at that mountain thingy that the nearby townspeople all go to do some ritual or something.

Oblivion.

I bought the above game last weekend. I haven't really stopped playing it since. I had a week off work, I had grandiose plans of finishing one of my pinball restore projects, doing some extra work on the car and so on.

Oblivion ate that week. It's just brilliant. If you have a 360 or a high end PC, it's well worth a look. The size of the game is just immense, the world map takes a very long time to walk across, should you choose to - and very little of it is really wasteland, everywhere you look are hidden caves, temples and forts - all of which have their own dungeon complex. You've also got a number of decent sized towns, the huge Imperial city, and numerous small settlements and locations. I've completed more than 50 quests, I have more than 20 open, and I haven't really spent much time with the main storyline yet, or seen half the large towns. 80 hours, gone.

While this is defintely a rather tragic destruction of time, at least I can't complain that I'm not getting my moneysworth.

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne
Dragon Quest VIII
Jade Empire
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance
Grandia III

These are the best RPGs I have played as of late but I am no where near the RPG gamer I was, so there is way more out there. I thought Tales of Symphonia sucked though.

I've said this on another thread, but I also put in my vote for oblivion - it's been a long time since I've played a game for what seemed like 30 minutes, but ended up spending 3 hours.

Nocturne is also a very cool game, with a very cool setting and story; however, the only caveat I would have is that I found the game impossible without a strategy guide - it's not that the maps and stuff are hard, but enemies are tough, and to do well, you have to know fusions which can get ridiculously complex.

I have to go for Oblivion too. I've completed the dark brotherhood storyline and half way through the thieves guild. 60 odd hours I think and it has never got stale. I've barley scratched the surface of this game and I'm looking forward to playing for 100 or more hours. I think it's a wonderful game.

Well, I finally got past that part and it only took me around 4 years to accomplish! It was at the Flame section where all the townspeople throw in torches. Apparently I had to get the holy water to get through it all. Now I can finally move on.
