BIOSHOCK

For those of you who pick up Game Informer or EGM, you may have read an article about an upcoming X-Box 360/PC title called Bioshock, which is developed by much of the same team which brought us the System Shock games and is considered to be not a true sequel but a spiritual successor to the System Shock series.

The developers of the game have stated that thier main focus is complete player immersion in the story and that they have worked out a system of choice and consequence likely more complex than anything we have seen in gaming thus far.

The game will be published by Take-Two Interactive, who has recently acquired Irrational Games. It has so far been in development for around 2 years.

Well, i'm pretty excited - i haven't seen any videos or anything yet but judging from the screenshots the graphics look fairly brilliant and from what i've read the storyline seems interesting.

I really like the idea of being constantly assaulted by those giant diving suit guys - they seem like a really cool enemy concept, as they are just there to protect these strange little children who need to feed on dead people to get some genetic material out of thier bodies.

My best friend has the word 'RESIST' tattooed on his shoulder because System Shock was one of the first video games he ever really really got into and he has been gaming ever since. He'll be pretty excited to hear about it i'm sure.

Anybody else looking forward to this game?

Untill reading the latest EGM I had never heard of either game but the rags write up on Bioshock has me very interested. The creepy children depending on the equally creepy dive suit creatures for survival is a cool touch. Can't wait to see what the children need protection from.

one of my most eagerly anticipated games for the next year (or more :( ).
i remember seeing some of the test shots last year some time, and the feature article was frankly a shock.

the game looks incredible, and it sounds irrational is heading in the right direction on this one. i predict it will be one of the creepiest games ever.
I have no sig whatsoever.
