Super XYX : Classic arcade style vertical shooting

Features:
- 6 Stages
- 2 Playable Ships (+3 Unlockable ones), each with unique weaponry and screen clearing bomb attacks
- Optional True Final Boss
- Unlockable Boss Rush and Checkpoint Mode for true arcade masochists

You can find extra options in > pad/keyboard rebind > extra options.

- TATE and YOKO (bordered with separate HUD) screen orientations


Based on the original (unfinished) 2009 version of the game, Super XYX both completes and expands upon it significantly.

Note from the artist/XYX creator (Gryzor): this is only related to Neo XYX/Zaikusu in as far as it is also based on the original. This uses none of the assets I created specifically for that game; but it does use various ideas that did not make it into the final product (due to limited time, creative differences with NGDev or hardware restrictions of the NG.)

Yup Jet Buster isn't the only thing we've been cooking up all along, this is the other game i've been teasing for a while on twitter. While this is far off from being done, with the Greenlight ending soon, we decided to give it one last run. Steam Direct is coming as Valve will be announcing the pricing soon, and probably the date of Greenlight being phased out. Anywho, enjoy folks. - Kaiser

There's a chance it might come out in 2019, but in the worst case it might be pushed to 2020, we are trying to get a 2019 release going though. Zenodeath is definitely a mid-2020 release at this point.

I played the demo of this many years ago before NG Dev Team did their take on it. TBH I kinda preferred the feeling of the demo to the NG Dev Team version.

Congrats on getting this out. The first time I saw it was as a demo on the old Gamemaker community (pre-Yoyo, I believe), before the Hellwig Bros. did the NeoXYX thing, when it was still called XYX. Nice to see this finally in the wild.

Just had a dabble with the game and first impressions are really good. A strong Toaplan flavour which i like. Graphics are nicely detailed with that Batsugun/Tatsujin kind of look. The music is superb, reminds me of Xenocrisis. For little over £6 its worth a pick up.

Score extends, the best way to earn them is no-miss the early stages.

Not only is it super Toaplan style but they even copped some of the music lol. Stage 2's music is very Dogyuun Stage 1.
Made it to the final stage on my first credit so I'm not sure it's as much of a challenge as I had hoped but it's a fun, quick game. Not sure I like it better than Neo XYX (I enjoyed the medal chaining in there). Glad to see this finally released regardless.

holy smokes! this was an awesome game! whoa.. Still havent beaten the standard mode thou, but think I got to the final boss.. scored 20mil something.

Played the itch.io version this evening, default settings, scaling x3 and entered my initials. Win 7 64 bit

After I kill the first boss I get a screen saying stage clear with swords and the XYX logo in a diagonal fashion.

Then I hear counters spinning and it sounds like score parts are tallied up but there are no graphics. It seems like there are some graphics which are not shown ? Maybe a font is used which is not present on my machine ?

Nope stage clear was accidentally broken in the 13.08.20 update, grab a new build on itch from today (14.08.20) that addresses this issue... while i'm at it.

The "more options" menu can be easily found now.
Key rebinding swaps keys instead of complaining about you trying to use the same button for two things.
GZR Start (checkpoint mode) got fixed up because it had some weird background/music issues.
