Tatsujin is one of those MD games that uses a single multi-region cart, that changes between versions depending on what region the system is. Most just install a region switch on real hardware.

Just had the best credit I've ever had on this game by a mile (mid stage 4 with 4 lives in stock) so I figured I'll make my first appearance here. I love this game

After a handful of absolutely miserable credits I managed to no miss up to stage 3 for the first time ever (getting the 2-up of course) and I made it to the stage 4 boss.

Still love the game but it would be great if I could stop dying on stage 1

So up until today I was using a relatively low autofire rate so as to simulate what I could normally do without autofire but without killing my wrists. After getting owned repeatedly by stage 1 and 2 minibosses and the game started being not fun, today I decided fuck it and cranked that sucker up to max, and got this:

This is possibly my favourite Toaplan game. I'm definitely going to revisit this one in the future.

had a near-flawless loop 1, game over right after 2-2 boss. the difference in difficulty between loop 1 and 2 matters less and less the further I get, I've found. like it's there, but it's not as meaningful as it is in 2-1, like my 1-2 route mostly works for 2-2 as well.

Yeah watched some of this congrats on the marathon run.

Scores wise you could have definitely reached higher if you take some risk with the high scoring stages.

Well done mycophobia. The 7 loop 10mil+ should now be a formality.

If I can find a way to record this, I would like to post a 1st loop, no miss, no bomb run with Max firepower. Or potentially see if I can repeat this in the arcade PCB version at HOG if they have the board.
