Basically, I hooked up a tight Monster cable to the RCA yellow video composite port on my Framemeister, and when I unplugged it, it ripped out the metal RCA bracket. I was able to place it back in, but it was still loose after that (it would still keep getting ripped out with even a normal cable). Can I send my XRGB-mini Framemeister to somebody to get a new RCA bracket installed. Do you guys know anybody who can service my unit? I would appreciate any help, thanks!
For now, I am just not going to use the RCA port, but I still want it repaired. I have a little Atari Classic like device that uses the yellow composite port.
Is there a way to get replacement RCA metal brackets (the circular ones)?

I believe you can get an 8-pin mini DIN that has a collection of RCA & S-Video inputs.

Hi,
I directly contacted Micomsoft, and they found replacement RCA ports on the Internet!
So, I am going to solder off the bad port, and place a new part on.
Here is the mail they sent me:

Hello. I am an engineer of MICOMSOFT.
I know the user who broke RCA by monster cable like you.
The monster cable is very tight.
XRGB-mini is not the only device destroyed by the monster cable.
However, there is also a problem with the strength of the RCA side.

I want to answer your request, but there are no spare parts.
This part is triple RCA, but it may be exchangeable with a single part.
I think there is a possibility that the following parts will fit.

Digi-key Parts No.

Thank you.

That's really cool, and highly unusual. Most times companies refuse to share any BOM information with customers, let alone suggest parts from somewhere like DigiKey that might fit.
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister RCA Yellow Video Composite Port L
I just ordered the RCA ports (yellow, white, and red) lol.
I will attempt a repair of the XRGB-mini Framemeister.
I pray that I don't damage it!
I will tell you later if I was able to fix it or not...

Thanks for the suggestion, and I bought this online:SavagePencil wrote:I believe you can get an 8-pin mini DIN that has a collection of RCA & S-Video inputs.

Actually, my Framemeister did not work with my NES (composite) hooked up to this adapter. Neither RCA nor S-Video worked lol. I think this port is only wired for RGB, although I am not sure...
It’s ok though as I am just messing around.
This picture shows the wiring of the RGB port:

I am just going to fix the Framemeister with my available RCA jacks.
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister RCA Yellow Video Composite Port L
I just repaired my upscaler with the white, red, and yellow RCA jacks. The upscaler now works perfectly! The only stupid thing though is that I lost a screw and I had to order some on ebay lol.

Micomsoft was really courteous and quick to respond when I emailed them about replacing some burnt parts on an XPC-4. Top notch support from them!
