At long last, the 500mil demon has been beaten! And this time i've got a capture card so I can finally put up Futari stuff on my channel! A very long struggle, thank you for all who cheered me on along the way. I'm very ready to move onto the other modes the game has to offer, i'll be grinding Maniac next. Time to revive the thread lol
In comparison to Original, I found the scoring in Maniac actually easier to grasp and much more satisfying, but obviously the survival is harder. It's really nice to not worry about counter color and just focus on the chaining and huge cancels. I think this mode is way overshadowed and should be picked up more! What's also nice is that death is much less punishing in this mode. I didn't no-miss, but the death was at such a minor time (end of stage 3), that it didn't hinder me too much in reaching my goal. Most of the training time spent was on the good stage 2 strats. Although tricky, it's well worth learning since it's the most valuable stage in the game aside from stage 5 with the full end game bonus. I will add captions to the run later on to explain the scoring in case anyone wants help with it. Ultra mode is next, i'm both frightened and excited, and i'll see y'all again soon!

Well finally, my first CAVE 1CC, in the plebian game mode of the plebian version. Still pretty stoked! As expected it wasn't too hard. The last third of Stage 3 and the Stage 3 boss are harder than the rest of the game for me, lol.

That was fast! Just 2 days later my second CAVE 1CC, although regular Black Label Original it is only marginally harder than Another Ver. (20% more boss health and some bullet patterns are more dense)

The funny thing is that I started this run on MAME and didn't know about the missing slowdowns due to the improper CV10K emulation, therefore the game felt WAY harder, especially the Stage 3 boss felt IMPOSSIBLY hard without any slowdowns at all! I fiddled around with blitter delays but it didn't felt right.

In the end I chose to do this run on the Xbox 360 version (Xenia), which really made this run super easy lol.

No missed the game except one stupid death at the very end of the last phase of the Stage 3 Boss and the last boss of course, which took one life. I suicided with Lx3 Bx0 for a better score just before finishing off Larsa.

It's really satisfying beat my best score again. I lost three lives in a row in stage 4, after this I got beat the game without die.

Unexpected run. This time I died in first stage boss. One more time I triggered a bug like behavior in stage 4 boss. Where he will point blank me during last pattern. This thing is really annoying and kill the score potential there. I don't think I can beat that score anytime soon, because I would need no miss the whole damn game.
