I have the 'American' SNES and I bought a NTSC SCART cable for it. I used the SCART to RGB adpater that came with my Framemeister and it did not work. It just says no input on the blue screen. I looked into this, and I found out that the adapter is for the JP21 standard.
I was wondering, can I just buy a SNES SCART cable that is for JP21, or would they not be compatible with the 'NTSC' SNES?
Do I then instead need to buy a NTSC SCART to RGB apapter that hooks into the Framemeister?
I am just kind of confused. It is more complicated that I expected.
Thanks.

Super Nintendo SCART/RGB Not Compatible?
Re: Super Nintendo SCART/RGB Not Compatible?
If you want 1st party, Nintendo's Japanese RGB cable is JP21 and would work.
Arguably it's easier in the long run to get a SCART DIN adapter for the Framemeister.
SCART cables / switch boxes / etc, are more plentiful than JP21 versions.

Re: Super Nintendo SCART/RGB Not Compatible?
I second the notion to steer clear of JP-21. The retro gaming communities have settled on SCART for RGBS (Although the 8-pin DIN connector used by the Framemeister will supposedly usurp SCART), SCART hardware is easier to get, and trying to mix SCART and JP-21 will just lead to damaged hardware. I imagine it's easier and simpler to just buy a SCART->8-pin DIN adapter than to adopt JP-21.
