This is purely hypothetical of course
Any game is fine, as long as it is by CAVE

<S.Yagawa> I like the challenge of "doing the impossible" with older hardware, and pushing it as far as it can go.

Definitely Progear. Which will double up as a fantastic chance to put the first one finally on consoles.

Since I'm not getting Dragon Blaze 2 in this hypothetical scenario, I'll take a shmup with dragon-like insects. I'll take a new Mushihimesama.

DoDonPachi 6 but the twist is there's no creepy waifu nonsense. I'd pay top dollar for that. :l
But I'd also take a second ProGear (I'm guessing we just mean games Cave made regardless of who published it).

Guwange too.
I'm surprised it was already mentioned several times already.

Definitely not IGS. IGS is only working on it’s own arcade games, focus on CAVE, not IGS.Jeneki wrote:Feveron 2: Disco Storm (IGS developed)
At this rate, I won’t be interested into shmups anymore. I am no longer going to be active in this forum from now on. I am more interested into Kemono Friends, rhythm games, D4DJ, Puzzle Games, Hololive, and Pretty Cure.
Farewell.
Farewell.

Esprade , Guwange , and Ketsui all need sequels.
A Hardcore gamers reaction to the Lack of Kinect games. Apparently i could of played Dodonpachi with it if i beat a entirely in Japanese Visual Novel piece of shit game called Instant Brain

Naw man, why do you think DaiOuJou wans't called DoDonPachi 3? CAVE was clearly intimidated by Bee Storm and knew they couldn't make a worthy follow-up to such a superior game.Goompaolo9500 wrote:Definitely not IGS. Everybody always wants sequels when they can't even play the originals yet, there's literally 3 of us who know anything about guwange in depth and take me out none of them are in this thread, i doubt a single one of those calling for guwange 2 here even has a shitty 30 mill low tier basic game chain score.

Re: If you could have a sequel to a CAVE Shmup, what would i
No, it does not matter at all.
For example I much prefer Futari over Mushi 1, and I am sure same goes for a lot of people with other parts of other series.
Someone might prefer DOJ over DDP and so on.
With Guwange in particular, I am not very good at it either, I think I managed to get to the last stage on blue version a couple of times, probably gonna try to clear it at some point. But I, like many others, love the setting of that game, so a sequel would be cool.
