CRT neck board epoxy
CRT neck board epoxy
What type of epoxy should be used to glue the neck board back to the crt after disassembling? Is this even necessary?

Re: CRT neck board epoxy
Not normally required. The only set i've ever come across with the neckboard glued on was a Sony PVM-20N2A. Was held there with a bead of... something like regular silicone but harder only not rock hard. Same thing that had been used on the yoke wedges but not the rings. I wouldn't bother unless you're having problems.

Don't use epoxy, it should hang onto the pins just fine. I've seen silicon compound use to keep the magnetic rings and rubber spacers in place, but nothing beyond that.

You are right. It's silicone, not epoxy. The stuff was hardened and needed to be broken/scraped off to remove the neck board.
