While we're on the subject of WonderSwans, is anyone actively doing screen upgrades for these?

The only screen upgrade I'm aware of is the frontlight mod, which is unfortunately not great (washed out/blue-tinted colors). A friend is concepting a screen replacement with backlight, I'm hopeful that he'll come up with a workable situation.

There's a NeoGeo Pocket worm light one can buy that is actually a WonderSwan worm light with a battery pack, using that should mostly cover any problems you have with the SwanCrystal display.

Ah, I'd thought I saw years ago that someone had done a screen replacement. Maybe I'm mistaken or maybe it was a one-off.

I do have a WonderSwan specific worm light which plugs into the EXT port, but its effect is uneven and occupying the EXT port precludes headphones use.
