Searching for a shmup i forgot its name
i forgot the console i played it and its name but it had cool graphics so it probably was a snes or genesis but this dosn't mean its not posile to be nes , atari or other
i can give the description f the game and hopefuly someone will recognise it and tell me its name, then i'l go and search it in stores.
the game features a person with a jet suit ( something similar to buray soldier ) and the game is only vertical scrol. In the introducing movie a city is blown up by a ship.
In the first stage in the background we can see the city burning.
In the second stage we are in somekind of tunel and i remember fighting lots of robot snakes.
The third stage i remember the best, the whole stage consists of fighting a giant ship ( i think it was green ) and you travel along it the whole stage destroying its guns then at the end you need to destroy its engines as the boss ( verry similar to the ship in contra 3 - the alien wars where you fight its engines from misiles ).
In the 4'th stage i know you travel upwards verry fast but i never got to pass this round, the game is VERRY DIFICULT.
The character is rather small and the game is verry tech , nothing is organic , only robots
this is all i remember about it , hope you know the gae i'm talking about
i played it in 95 before buying a pc but now i wana get back to the old consoles, i miss them so much

Thank you all guys, indeed its SCAT
well, i played it now and i don't find it so cool anymore, i don't know what made me become obsesed with it at that time, maybe its shear dificulty and the fact that i was finishing all other games to easely
i must admit, now that i'm more experienced i find the game to be quite worse, at least i get to finaly finish it, payback time

Contra? More like Section Z/Side Arms/Forgotten Worlds. In any case, I prefer the JPN version "Final Mission" more - it's a bit more difficult. I actually have the cart in my Famicom right now.FRO wrote:I think SCAT is pretty good for an NES game. Especially considering it's a Contra knock-off.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Google "scat". Then again, I guess the term really wasn't around when the game came out...
The game is rather enjoyable though...
Done the work for you. Link possibly Not Safe For Work?

ok i finished the game just now and i wana take back all my previous words.
the version i have now is a slight diferend from the onw i played first time a long time ago, there isn't any destruction of the city in the introductory movie and the 3'th and 4'th stages are swamped but the game is still the same.
at the end of it i realised that this is the most overlooked nes games ever.I couldn't belive this was a nes and the sprites are snes quality, fluid anymations and detailed maps. The 2 orbiting satelites are so damn cool, reminds me of gradius but they are even better. The dificulty is realy high in the last levels, to bad there are infinite continues. The only bad thing is the low number os maps but at least they are big ones.
i think is still my favorite old game
