Hi,
I am looking for advise regarding a problem I have with the SEGA Moonwalker PCB.
None of the inputs from the controller work. I use a supergun which works well with any other PCBs.
1. I have tried all possible DIP settings (coin individual or common, freeplay, 2player or 3 player)
2. According to the instruction manual the Jamma pinout differs from standard Jamma and this was taken under account during testing
3. In Free play mode the game starts with player 1 without me giving any input commands. MJ keeps going up and holds the shot in charging mode.
If someone could point me to the schematic diagram that would help me a lot!
Thanks,
SEGA System 18 Moonwalker - Controller input not recognized
Re: SEGA System 18 Moonwalker - Controller input not recogni
My apologies for the useless post as I was able to figure it out fairly quickly.
Jamma pin D on the PCB side connects to a series of pull up resistors but the pin itself is not linked to the +5v rail. (pin 3, 4, C)
I did link the pins together on the supergun side and the inputs now works.
P.S None of my other PCBs has an isolated Pin D so I guess that is why I thought the supergun was not the issue here.

Yep, causes the game no to work properly on Egret 2s as well without modifications.
