You have to click on "free sample"/"more info" or something.

Oh.

HA! I didn't even see that. Ah well. Maybe I'll take the test again or something. Kinda pointless.

IIRC I got somewhere in the 130's a few months ago. This can't be right though. Genius level is I think 120 so I figured it was just a dumb intarweb test.

Speaking of intelligent stuff, Rando > n00bs > howmuchkeefe, btw (lolbbq).

If a free 40-question internet quiz can't boil your intelligence down to a single number, what can?

I think the scale is something like:
120 = moderately intelligent
130 = wannabe genius
140 = borderline genius
150+ = bona fide genius

And I got 142, Visionary Philosopher. ePenis++

Despite the questionable value of IQ scores, I always wanted to take a real test, but I don't quite care enough to actually look into it.

I took one in an official setting quite some time ago. I got a higher score back then, but I am indeed legitimately dumber now, so perhaps this test isn't too inaccurate. ;)

131 Precision Processor. Seemed like a BS test, but I did score higher than I did on the last IQ test I took. Meh.

so-called IQ Test

Post by DEL »

Yep, I'm pretty sure you're right. It is a BS test. Especially when you consider 2 or 3 questions are testing your recollection of old sayings - That's more of a General Knowledge test if you ask me.

Still, like I said in the first post; 'Its just a bit of fun".

133

Visual Mathematician
You have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information and this, combined with your logical mind, means you are a Visual Mathematician. You can manipulate multiple parts of the picture (or problem) to come up with a solution and can understand the "big picture," which is partly why people may turn to you for direction.

Like Einstein, your ability to detect patterns and your skills in maths and logic, make it natural for you to come up with ideas and theories that simplify processes for everyone.
-----------------------------------------
"You have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information"
I suppose that makes sense in a 'shooter' sort of way.

^ "Like Einstein :shock: "?? = Completely ridiculous!

Your IQ score is 133! - Precision Processor

I am less stupid than the last time I took an IQ test... and Precision Processor sounds like a new PlayStation 3 sales pitch.

People who take iq tests are dumb and naive. I am not even going to elaborate.
Just so you know.
OK here's my IQ test to all of you.
How much money do I have in my pocket?
If you don't know the answer you have a low IQ.
Did that make any sense?

What I am saying is that noone can tell you what you should know.
take following aspects:
forgetfullness
uninterested
never got this told to you

IQ tests are a hoax and are just pure entertainment.
Let's say someone from exactly the side of the world would take the test.
If he fails will he be dumb.

Sorry, I just hate fact based IQ tests.

Your completely right D, if an african from say a 3rd world country took that test, his score would be incredibly low, yet he may actually be incredibly intelligent.

At school we did these weird tests patterns and sequences, rearranging shapes, seeing pictures of a box and then multiple choice to see how it would look folded or unfolded, think it was all to do with 3D dimensional and spatial awareness. Anyone else in the UK do that at school? think it was called YELESS or something like that. No one ever found out the results from it. Always thought it was weird.

I think the only way to truly compare people is to give them a question based on their current knowledge under controlled condition;

Same time given to each person
Each person taught identically at the same degree and amount in the area
Test based on given area
Same time for each test.

That way all individuals should know the same thing, and in theory get the same score. Ability differentiation would be based on success at using the given knowledge. i.e. more naturally able person achieves higher score.

This would have destroyed a lot of the high achieving kids at my school, it scared many when I said testing should be at random with no time for revision

136, "visionary philosopher."

I can already hear the uncontrollable laughter of most anyone I know reacting to that label being put on me.

I still think intelligence is something too general to be measured in. Any IQ test is whacked by default, unless they pertain to a certain area of interest. Internet IQ tests are even worse, considering they are most likely more lenient on grading, thus making the average joe think he's something special. Just a ploy to make people buy their shit.

Also, 145.

I just read on another forum that 144 is the max score on the Tickle test :?:

Dunno?

Wouldn't surprise me, considering how easy some of the questions are.

I got a "Precision Processor" rating. I didn't pay the 8 and a half quid though, so I don't know the number.
