Hello
I have a Sony Trinitron TV with SCART RGB. With the correct cable running from my PS2 first generation to the TV will I really get a true RGB single into the TV or do I still have to hack the TV with the OSD mod?
I am thinking of getting my cable from https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk.
Are my expectations correct? Namely, if the TV has a SCART with RGB in that it would be the same as the OSD TV hack that I se so much chat about?
European Sony Trinitron w/RGB SCART - is it really true RGB?

No hacks needed you already have an rgb input.
The topic for OSD is for the TVs that never had RGB inputs.

Yes, true RGB out of the box. Just two things to mention: a) if your TV has two scart inputs, then usually just the first one does RGB (at least on the Sonys I know). The second one does composite and s-video instead. And b) if you have a newer set with anamorphic picture control ("squeeze" button on the remote), then pin 8 on the scart cable will usually turn the TV into 16:9 mode (while switching it to the RGB input at the same time). If you disconnect the pin, the aspect ratio nonsense will stop, but your TV won't switch to the RGB input automatically any longer.

The scart socket that does RGB also does composite video so make sure you're using a proper RGB cable.

Thanks to everyone who replied. So I didn't know that all I need is a cable. That's great! I will be buying from https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk so yes I will get the best cable they offer.
As an FYI, I found out the the port with the RGB-in has an arrow pointing to three dots; (I suppose the dots represent RGB). It looks like the little diagram below.
--> . . .

The symbol is next to the SCART connector on the back of the TV and is displayed by the OSD (On screen display)
