Not sure I agree with this assessment completely. These games have a time limit, and it is important (moreso in Fixeight) to continue getting further up the map quickly. If you don't hurry, spike balls show up and you either have to bomb and destroy them, or keep running away from them until the level is over. At first I hated this feature, but it makes the game much more fast paced and frantic. But to successfully get thru all the levels memorization is of course a good tactic. Yes, rushing headlong without knowing what is ahead can be risky.Considering that Out Zone and Fixeight are all about trying to resist the temptation to rush headlong into action, that's... not a negative...

I love the game! Very fun. Can get pretty close to the clear. I use the robot and max out the purple bounce everywhere shot ha. Its a fun game but I don't seem to stay consistent with it. Early run deaths end up putting me off and it gets a little same-y. That's why I've never managed to finish it but
I way prefer it to outzone. Outzone looks bland in comparison. It's more difficult and more frustrating. Well that's how I see it anyway.
My favourite thing about the game though is how the multi-coloured text looks on my ms8. Pure sex
Been ages since I played it actually. That's on my to do list for tomorrow now ha.
