Hi everyone,
So as great as getting 1 frame of input lag is in the new Retroarch, the run-ahead feature isn't easy to setup if you are new to Retroarch. Especially when it comes to getting the correct frame rate out of the FBA core. So what I have done to try and help everyone out is to create this video guide for the entire setup process, from downloading Retroarch forward.

I hope this is helpful and makes this feature easier to access.
Also, to identify the intended frame rates for each game, you can use Shmupmame to figure them out with this method:

Cheers!

Thanks a ton for this. I had never considered using a core that wasn't mame, but it seems like this works perfectly! My only question is whether there is a good resource for finding out the correct frame rate for each game?

Yes there is, there is a way to do it using mame. I 'll look into the specifics and write up a quick guideWarpedByTheNHK wrote:Thanks a ton for this.
