Have to agree, it was a pretty poor performance on our part.
Raphael was terrible and nearly always failed to stop Morocco's attacker from his side and Gelson (after being subbed in) lost the ball in most times he had it.
I'm obviously happy we won, but I really dislike seeing them play like this, especially knowing that their are capable of more.
This guy. :/ He made a cracking save just then - and immediately followed it up with more fuckery! I was like "even if you've just gotten your face caved in, we're in boy cried wolf territory matey!" Then the replay and yep, big load of nothing. I've never seen a friggin goalie get in on the act like this.
edit: So close! Nice shot from Iran. edit: aaand Costa delivers again. Or helps along an Iranian own goal, either works!
Some gotterdammerung twilight of the gods shit this year. It's like Brazil's 7-1 bumming created a karmic disturbance that overlapped into the next cup.
Argentina: downright fuckin' shameful. Messi? Me no see. Half of the players walking away with yellows and constantly passing back to Cabalhero out of insecurity.
That kick from behind on a man down by Montinande not being a red is unfathomable, it's as if the ref decided to be relatively more lax for a match like this.
That beautiful Rebic counter and redemption, though.

Liar. I've known you only from latexmachomen.com and pantysniffers.org forums.
I was busy for most of the match. Heard things were rough for Argentina, but hadn't gotten to see it.
I finally get a chance to put the game on and I'm treated to Croatia's second third and goals, live. Third was a doozy. Really, really shouldn't have gone in. At least the second was a beautiful shot.
The first was embarrassingly poor keeping [beautiful Croatian kick though]. The third was absurd.
I'm expecting Argentina to get knocked out, this was appalling. I'm looking at the rest of the match, and it's really, really bad.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.
I don't know why when a big team loses that is the focus. Croatia were fantastic, end of. The differences in defence were easy to see. Argentina did not allow Croatia to play well, Croatia walked all over them.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
Cool match for Nigeria, seemed like Iceland was just outclassed today.

That one's easy -- more people were rooting for Argentina.

That says a lot since they had absolutely no go nearly the entire 2nd half. I had faith in Belgium back in 2014 but now they look pretty confident - they should go farther this time.
EDIT: Sweden fully deserved to lose this one after their shameful display of anti-football and trying to safekeep their one point vs. the Germans' relentless offense, especially after the key kraut defender knocking himself out. To have so many chances but only hit the post or keeper and a red card on top is a ridiculous streak of bad luck, but one of the commandments of football is that no matter what, Germany always pulls through.
