I've had good luck using the options to destroy the missles. When the boss gets behind you, move to the opposite side of the screen from where he is. After a missle is launched, deploy your option away from the side of the screen and in front of you, angled toward the missle. If you are using the cannon option, it will usually be able to destroy the missle, otherwise the missile will usually collide with the option if you are using machine gun or cannon. This doesn't really work with the rocket option since it has limited homing capactiy and disappears too quickly.

errr. thanksKiken wrote: #2: Your DC may be dieing. Dropped audio is normally a first sign.
#3: This is to show you exactly why you died. It's a normal function of the game.

so there is really supposed to be an Intro sound? teh rest of the game is fine, but only the intro sound is missing

anyways, i im not getting that "please restart" screen anymore... i guess it was,.. i dunno, getting used to the disc?

hehe..
anyways, i would just like to say that 1-4 just simply blew me away, freakin amazing...
easily becoming one of my fave games for the DC

Ok.. you're talking about the attract mode? That is silent. When you said title screen, that threw me off as there is the confirm credit noise when you hit start there.RoninBuddha wrote:so there is really supposed to be an Intro sound? teh rest of the game is fine, but only the intro sound is missing![]()

Is it just me, or does the boss music on the first level have a riff that sounds just like The Beastie Boys' 'Lighten Up'? Every time I play the game I get that damn BB song in my head.

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.

Was posted about already, but great news indeed!GaijinPunch wrote:In case anyone wants to know (probably will down the line) the DC print of Under Defeat reportedly saw around 10,000 copies.
A shmup, for Dreamcast no less, selling this well hopefully gets the message across to all dev's ignoring the genre and platform!

just got it yesterday, and played it for a little over an hour. so far i think its great! the explosions look amazing and the bullits are very easy to see, even when theres a lot of smoke and fire (unlike another recent shmup cough ibara cough) also, i like the way the ship rotates around, sorta like a simple version of ZG2. all in all a great addition to the dreamcasts library, but whats with the dvd case?

Border Down should have sold 5k for the regular edition and 3k for the LE, or viceversa. I think it also sold out pretty quickly, but i'm not sure about this.GaijinPunch wrote:I took a gamble... didn't want to read through the thread. Was posted about already, but great news indeed!
I heard rumors about Border Down seeing 5,000 or so. Wish I could find a solid source for that.

A second print of Border Down filtered out too, but I have no clue how many were made.Randorama wrote:Border Down should have sold 5k for the regular edition and 3k for the LE, or viceversa. I think it would not be very comfortable to wear such a big headphone during play, plus if it is going fall from your head, you would then have to balance it while doging bullets?!?!Trevor spencer wrote:

BTW, that big black retengular thing is your DC?!?!

*Meow* I am as serious as a cat could possible be. *Meow*

I`ve got the same problems with Level 5-Boss.Is that the last one?CMoon wrote:Gah! The last boss is driving me crazy!!! Half the time the rocket doesn't end up going down the barrel. I need to watch the video again. I really love this game up to the final boss, but I just feel the thing is a big turd!
Where can i download gameplay vids to see the boss fight?I can`t believe how strong it is,i use rockets often i can and let bombs go down-no success. The timer reached 10 seconds ago i die...damned

Go into practice mode and choose "load replay". there's videos of all the levels already there for you. After you beat the game you get some more replays demonstrating advanced techniques as well.silvergunner wrote:CMoon wrote:I`ve got the same problems with Level 5-Boss.Is that the last one?
