Just for reference, many superguns have an audio attenuation switch that can damage some SCART switcher boxes--if the user accidentally changes the setting.

Does this switch mux the audio input to protect the switcher from accidental supergun audio out damage--or are supergun users warned to be extra careful?

P.S.
(Dear other forum members: I know the internet. Let's not be "the internet" today and have another big blow up about this. It's just a quick question. Thank you.)
We apologise for the inconvenience

coin-op games, using jamma connector have power amplifiers on audio outputs capable of driving whatnot speakers that were ment to be be installed inside a cabinet - this could be anything between 2W and 20W speakers - cosidering +-12V supply such board could easly kill anything connected to it other than speaker
mini hydra will handle 4Vp-p signals without disortion, which is 10 times what SCART connector audio input expects - more than that and you're asking for trouble - whether it will be just distortions or major failure i wouldn't check

this looks really nice, it's closer to my price range than the g-scart. and has just the right amount of inputs for my needs. is that link a preorder page? or will it be available for purchase later?

Wow ok I'm very interested in this! 5 sockets would suit me just great for my humble little setup, I would be interested to learn more about noise/brightness loss as MLIG reported some loss on the full fat Hydra in their review and an issue with the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis C-Sync. How was the quality of the image during your testing with this, any problems with a correctly attenuated C-Sync Mega Drive? Does the device have a low pass filter install, if so can it be disabled?

Looking good so far, love the design, features and price point. Any chance that the white PCB colour is coming back?

Thanks.

EDIT: I have re-watched the MLIG video on the original Hydra and as a Framemeister user it would be useful to know if the issues they encountered with some consoles hooked up to a Framemeister via the Hydra have been addressed with the Hydra Mini. I ask as I have the same setup and would want to use them with the Hydra Mini.

1. Mega Drive with C-Sync
2. PS One with Sync on Luma
3. Dreamcast VGA via TORO box.

Looking forward to this though and would be interested in ordering one but would like to know if I would be likely to have issues with my console and scaler setup.

It's good to have an option for a smaller scart switch, five ports is perfect for my needs. I assume it still features automatic input detection (without remote use) like the 8-port Hydra?

I could notice the slight loss of brightness on their captures, but honestly I don't know where they detected any decrease of sharpness - it looked as good as the Gscartsw to me, or even a tiny bit sharper actually (link to the relevant part of the video here). Probably they were only referring to when the HD filter is active?

Really looking forward to this. Looks like a great product provided it functions properly.

1. Much cheaper than the gscartsw (and also readily available)
2. Much better form factor for those of us who only need 5 or less ports (HDMI has replaced a lot of Scart needs for systems personally)
3. Remote functionality (really awesome feature the gscart doesn't have)

Will be looking forward to reviews from the usual crowd and then will definitely be purchasing one.

Just don't tell @RetroRGB or he'll insult you for not getting the gscart instead.

It's too bad this doesn't use 5V power.

Side note: Lotharek's site has a database issue. :3

Just to save everyone a search, 379PLN = $113.29 (plus shipping.... how much is international shipping?)

Is there any update on this? The end of the estimated delivery window has come and gone, and the Mini Hydra pages (1, 2) on your website still say they're in development and unavailable.

Page 2 states its a 12v 5 input device, then goes on to state its an 8 input 5v micro usb powered device.

Things like that make me steer clear.

It looks like pre-orders are up and shipping starts next week (May 21st) I am really tempted but would prefer to read some reviews first as I would like to know if it can handle Dreamcast 480p over SCART (Toro Box) and Sync on Luma from PS1.

I do like the design and the white PCB :)
