Built in comp filter NEC XM29?

So I did hook up a VCR to my NEC XM29 via composite and I was wondering if the XM29 has a built in comb filter or not?
Looking for either the Faroudja VP 100 or Kramer FC-10D external filters, but didn't find any yet to test.
