So, all you proud collectors think you’ve got a lot of stuff, well you ain’t seen anything until you’ve witness this massive collection and I mean nothing!
This is by far and away the most insane games collection I’ve ever encountered!
I might as well have a nice raid on that guys collection!
I’m sure they’ll be some cool shooters to pick up!
I guess I’ve got a lot of catching up to do now, don’t I?
Bring’em Them Oneth!

Lol, not to be the usual naysayer, but as with every other form of media, videogames are crowded with garbage. Owning ALL of them or close to that means you dedicate 80% of your room space to rubbish.
(sure, I envy the fact that the remaining 20% of great stuff he has won't probably fit in my entire house! ^_^)

LOL, I know.
I don't envy this guy at all, he doesn't have a job and probably hasn't 1cc'ed any of his stuff. The only way this would be bad-ass is if it was opened to the public somehow (like what Dave K. does with his PCB/cab collection).
Insane. I dont see the point in a collection that big. He's cant possibly put any real time into anything, whats the point? What is he aiming for exactly? It seems like such a pointess collection to me.
Clearly we're both into videogames for different reasons.
He may have just inherited alot of moula... and now he sits on his ass multiplying himself and buying video games.
When i saw it my first thoughts where like, "Holy expletive! Why doesn't this man buy me an arcade machine for my room?" and then i just thought about how kind of sad it is. It really really is. He must not really do anything but play video games.
Man if i had the kind of money it must have taken to buy all of that i'd be out there livin' like a muthafucka. I'd buy me a big chunk of desert land, fill it up with old cars full of explosives, and let loose on them with a chain gun.
I'd hire a crack team of expert scientists to develop a lightning gun for me like the cattle prod in Resident Evil 2 or the one that chick has in Sons of Liberty.
I'd be one of the first people on that planned space tour thingy.
I'd tell Bush to suck my CACK!
I'd write 'CHA' on the moon!
...
Well... maybe he doesn't just sit around all day. Oh well.
The process of a collecting, imho, it's also a process of selection and exclusion. I'm proud to not have some titles in my room at least as I'm proud to own others
(however, perhaps he could probably say the same for his - it's just a matter of scale...)

here here.. never been much for masscollectors.
i do like people who can downsize their collections with rarity/value/playability criterias better.
the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..
I've seen my share of "Room of Doom" before, but this exceeds it to be certain.
I'm pretty sure there's lots of duplicates in there, and games that most people on these forums would just assume ignore than actually collect. Men of Valor and Matrix: Path of Neo come to mind...ewww.
Something tells me, from reading the interview, part of the reason this guy is so reclusive is because he's obsessive-compulsive on his purchases. He said it himself when he said he had this desire to get whatever he didn't have. It didn't matter if it was a bad game or not, he bought it.
As for the bit about collecting videogames for a living, no way that's even possible unless you're an actual dealer that buys and sells games regularly, which doesn't seem to be the case with this guy. The average person who buys videogames can't afford that many. Not even PCB collectors have that amount of dough on a regular basis.
The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

2. Merciful Peacemaker
3. Suffer for Righteous Desire

LMAO I hadn't read the interview till you said. That is classic.
The guy can do what the hell he wants.
Not relating to this guy but people who buy stuff for the hell of it and don't really just get the games they really want and streamline their collection tend to be the ones that suddenly give it all up and sell everything.
But people can do what they want, it's a shame though when people don't look after their stuff.

Personally, I say: quality over quantity. I know people with that many books, and I say to them: you have SOME nice books, but you need to get rid of some of this crap. What's the point of having a bunch of crap?
