Who cares about ghost? I want a Starcraft 2. It seems unlikely though. With the success of WOW, we'll probably only see more MMOG from Blizzard :(.

Blizzard isn't naive enough to believe that they can make another RTS as good as StarCraft.

I hope it isn't. I've been looking forward to this ever since I heard Swinging Ape took over development of it.

yeah, but my reference is still there. game is in developement so long, they see new generations of hardware pass, and then get to face the fun decision of carrying through on formats where the game might go unnoticed or cut their (years of) losses and start developing the product for new hardware. john romero made the wrong decision, and i hope blizzard makes the right one.

and like acid king, i think swingin ape could have really carried through on this given the time and resources. and when they picked up the reigns in 2004, didn't they basically start over (on the actual game)?

If their fab, but completely overlooked Metal Arms was anything to go by, I would have been very interested in this indeed. Shame.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. This game has gone through two different developers, and that alone suggests that Blizzard wasn't happy with how the game was going. Add in the delays since the newest developer got ahold of it, and it all seems to spell out how uncertain Blizzard was as to whether or not the game was really going to do the franchise justice.

Perhaps it's just as well. Maybe now they'll focus more on the rumored Diablo III.

I would like to see Blizzard do another Lost Vikings. That would rock!

Metal Arms is what made me care about this game. If I hadn't played Metal Arms and Swingin Ape hadn't taken over development, I wouldn't care about this game at all.

No big loss, I just kept thinking that it's going to be a scifi splinter cell anyways...
