Adding my score to the chart. Hyper is sure lonely! I hope to be able to clear it, though the rank increase even by level 2 is pretty nuts. Normal is still challenging though.
There is so much to like in the game: plenty of challenging midbosses, enemy formations, great boss encounters... danbo and co. created a really fun and fine-tuned shooter with style and flair.
EDIT: Is the TLB only accessible on Parallel for Val?

Overall the changes aren't too drastic, although they're definitely noticeable. The scoring system and stage patterns are pretty much the same, but most of the shot types got buffed in one way or another. Val-Hyper Laser probably got changed the most, and is arguably the best special weapon for scoring now.

The replay is up on the leaderboards. I finally got a Parallel run with all of the breaks! The boss fights were all pretty sloppy, but the stages were all clean so it kinda cancelled out and didn't hinder my resource usage significantly. Scoring-wise I made a few mistakes here and there, but I don't think I can score much higher than this with this shot type without some really extensive rerouting. I'm not sure if I want to try Val/Hyper Laser now or if I should play around with one of the weird shot types like Stasis Field or Vortex Barrier.

I wouldn’t complain either way. I guess it’d depend on how many new tables the new version creates and how different the game is.

Will Double Action be replacing regular Blue Revolver or will both be accessible to new purchasers of the game? If it's the latter I think that strengthens the case for a separate thread like DOJ WL/BL. Also if the categories are going to be very different I think that would also justify a new thread.

It's free for people who bought the original version and I don't think it'll be a separate game on steam but when you run the game on steam, you'll get the option to start "blue revolver" or "blue revolver double action" so it'll have separate steam leaderboards and it looks like they're treating it as a separate edition of the game rather than just an update.

Yes, according to the website, it's pretty much a separate Black Label. In fact, it was originally called "Blue Revolver Black Label", but they changed the name back in January I think.
On itch.io, it'll likely be a separate download. On Steam, you'll probably get radio buttons on startup to pick the two versions, like so many Steam games.
There will be at least three play modes and likely difficulties for one or all of these modes. I'm pretty sure there's gonna be more tables than the original version.

If there's necessarily going to be a lot of different tables it probably makes sense to have a separate thread. Hopefully there will be enough submissions to make it worthwhile.
Has anyone heard anything about it, btw? Last I heard was March release, which it looks like it didn't quite make it out in March. Not that I mind. TBH pretty generous of the developer to provide a free black label 1 year down the road. I am looking forward to it, though.

This was rather shocking. I only expected to make it to stage 4 as I haven't actually started practicing anything after 3 yet, but probably thanks to rank + lots of resources I managed to not only make it to 4, but also through the stage 4 boss.
