Does anyone have the lowdown on these? All I know is that they were beautifully illustated. What I don't know is how many there were. Anyone have any further details?

Yep, those are the comics by "can't Hue". He only sells his stuff at comic-cons and will only ship to Japanese addresses.

Mandarake has a huge doujin section, although you will likely scar yourself for life while looking through it. Doujin almost means extreme comic porn.

In my experience though, stuff that's sold at Comiket only, nearly impossible to find. I'm grasping onto my Alchemista for dear life.

According to the website, all issues except for the most recent two are out of print and sold out.

Dude, that's what I'm worried about if I make it to Japan w/ Greg, this year. I'm an art monster, but not at the cost of my mental well being. I have no desire to have flashes of tenticles raping my gf when I'm with her.

Standard Japanese auction. Besides, how would you talk to them or send them money even if they would ship abroad? Despite what other people say, the majority of Ebay users only ship to their respective countries, even w/ Paypal.

Hey Devil REI! You know that by scanning and making available the artbooks/comics you would not only make many people very happy but also please the allmighty god of ikaruga for sharing such luxury with all the poor souls who unfortunately can't afford to legally obtain beautiful art like this?

Well, a lot of nonmainstream manga (Nihei's BLAME for example) got licenced in the west because of the scanlations which proved to publishers that there is demand for them in western countries. This situation here seems to be even more simple. I hardly believe that a few westerners who can't read japanese anyway will cause the producer of these artbooks any financial harm by looking at some scans. Maybe it even helps some of us to decide whether to buy one of the issues that are still available or not.
And no, I'm not trying to start a flame war or something...it's just common sense imho.

I do not scan entire doujinshi as a matter of personal ethics - doujin authors generally put out these books as a labor of love, perhaps not even breaking even on the cost of printing and production. To me, it is incredibly disrespectful to simply scan and distribute all of the artists' work without even taking into consideration their feelings.

Combine that with my experience of having close Japanese friends who actually produce doujinshi themselves, and seeing how sad and frustrated they become when their work is scanned and distributed without their permission... See where I'm coming from here?

What I can do is scan a handful of pages for sampling/informational purposes (much like I did with the Twinkle Star Sprites design book), and see if I can obtain extra copies for people who are interested next time I'm able to attend Comiket.

I found his site a couple years ago while he had quite a few cave works up. How I would love to have some of those.
