What game to buy?
I've completed god of war loved it. after another hack n slash action platformer.
devil may cry 3 and prince of persia seem to be the most frequently mentioned ones on ps2. Just interested in anyones opinion.
Should I get devil may cry 3 or prince of persia: two thrones?

DMC3 is pretty good. I wouldn't have paid 50 for it (I don't do for many games), but it's a no brainer for 20. My only real gripe with it is that the camera gets in the way from time to time.

I actually prefer PoP to DMC, but it's more for the puzzle/platforming, the combat isn't really that fun. I would also recommend Ico or Shadow of the Colossus as well. Also you can't go wrong with the Gungrave sequel for $9.99 or whatever they're selling it for.
I thought these were both pretty good too, although I have to say as a big Shinobi fan I was mightily disappointed it them. Better than Shin Shinobiden, but just barely. If you don't have it already and can take the challenge, PS2 SHINOBI and its little sister KUNOICHI (or call it Nightshade if you want to be LAME).

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.

oh yes, played the fantastic revenge of shinobi and return of the ninja master, loved em to death. That horse riding stage is still kickass
Ico and shadow are must haves definetly, seen ico at 9.99 on ebay The price drop is much appreciated!
PS2 shinobi, I have a sega dvd with footage of gameplay I must dig it out and think about it, saw it floating in bargin bin in game the other week, always been a bit weary of it though.
I've been watching vids of gametrailers.com, and devil may cry 3 seems a bit heavy metal rock n roll gothic, with a nice combat system. I'll try to find a copy soon.
What is the combat system in prince of persia like though? seems quite slow.

The combat system of PoP has changed w/the different games. The first was very repetitive and boring, second one was a bit better but the platforming wasn't as good and they made the Prince too aggro; the third one is a good balance. The combat system is fairly simplistic still, but it's enough to keep your attention without detracting from the main part of the game, which is the platforming/puzzle element.

It's very similar, although improved a little bit in terms of the number of moves you can do. If you liked Shinobi, you'll like Nightshade as well.
