Awesome. I didn't know jack shit about this game before I read this. I hope more people catch the bug and try their hand at reviewing.

I would only advise everyone to go with a rating system out of 5...

The Toho series is huge in the Asian shmup communities. I believe there are 10 or 11 games in the series, but not all of them are shmups.

???

Why would you prefer that? All good thing in life are rated on a scale of 10 (search for "perfect ten" to see what I mean) and thus so should shmups. ;)

Well that and I am more used to it...

As for Imperishable Night: Nice review, making me feel bad even more since my graphics card has issues with it and will put the monitor on stand by if I try to open it. :(

I love this game, in fact I currently running the Hi Score board for this community atm but not found the time to improve on my score but will do soon enough. (To check out the score board click I.Night on my sig or just click here!)

Saying that if there was ever an essental purchase in terms of japanese vertical shmups for the PC then this is definately one of them. Horizontal wise I would say proberbly Airrade Air is my favourate although I know that game is a little hit and miss on these forums but I really, really like the game and the orignal game was the game that essentaly got me in to buying dojin games and I have not looked back since.

Now I don't like giving scores when it comes to reviewing games. On my review site I don't give out numbers but verdicts because in real life nobody advises people on what games to buy using numbers. For me it's either Essental, Buy it, Avoid it or if it's crapper than anything thought possable then it's goes in to Room 101.

Anyway glad to see there is another Toho fan on the forums :D
