Hello, I have a Sony PVM 1440QM, the monitor only RGB input is through SCART (Euro AV), the SCART has composite sync, the monitor also has a Vertical Hold knob.
I was looking into ways for raspberry pi to output rgbs to PVMs and it seems that if the monitor doesn't have RGBHV a sync combiner is needed, the vga adapter is not sufficient.
I don't have a raspberry really buy my friend's got one, before buying the pi2scart adapter I was wondering if I can output RGBS to the monitor directly using a computer and soft 15khz.
I have an old Acer Aspire Revo R3600 with Nvidia ION, I tried soft 15khz and it seems it's working, new resolutions are inserted.
Now what do I need to use this pc to output RGBS to the monitor? Is a vga to scart cable sufficient or there's the sync problem to be held into account?
Does anyone have instructions for making a DIY cable?
Thanks
