Hello- I am currently having issues with the NESRGB not outputting any video on a NES front loader, here are the details:
-NESRGB board version 1.4
-With the PPU plugged directly into the NES MB socket, NES operates normally
-With PPU plugged into NESRGB, continuity exists from the respective PPU pin and the NES MB solder joints on all paths except pin 2-9 and 14-17.
-NTSC console with jumper J5 soldered
-palette switch set with middle position floating (from example 2 in the instructions)\
-external voltage regulator being used to power the NESRGB. There is +5 volts to the +5V pad.
With the palette switch floating the original composite should show output but it is either garbled or a black screen. Through SVideo with a palette selected I see a dim green output. In all cases, there is no audio. I do have my NESRGB socketed and I did notice out of the box that there wasn't continuity on pin 1 (R/W) on the NESRGB board to the board stacker tail so that was bridged with some solder.
Any ideas what to check from here? Its most certainly something on the NESRGB side since the NES operates normally with the PPU back in place.
Thanks in advance
