Sony PFM-42B2E (plasma monitor)

Post by karmeck »

I have seen this monitor pop up and wonder if it is worth it. It's on offer for 300$. Reading the manual I can see it supports 15khz and component (with adapter board)

The manual page

The 42B2 uses a 1024i ALIS interlaced panel. That's very early plasma-tech (and a weird one on top of that). If you want a plasma (for any reason) go for a set with a proper progressive panel instead. It will save you from quite a bit of headache...
